Celebrating Respiratory Care Week – Meet Parul Desai, RRT

As we celebrate Respiratory Care Week we wanted to spend time in learning more about our very own Respiratory Therapist, Parul Desai. We invite you to learn more about our very own Parul:

Paul Desai has been a respiratory therapist (RRT) for over 35 years. She’s proudly been part of the Oakland Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center family for 3 years. Parul loves being a respiratory therapist, specifically, enriching patient’s quality of life. When asked what she like’s best about her profession, she said, “I am thankful to be a RT because it has provided me with a meaningful career in which I have been able to help struggling patients and their families through life-threatening challenges”. Parul recalls dozens of cases that she’ll never forget and says she most especially enjoys seeing tracheostomy dependent folks be de-cannulated. Parul works full-time at Oakland Rehab and spends her days working with patients and alongside pulmonologists and our wonderful nurses and therapists.
